Whether I'm walking the streets of Sydney, Hong Kong or Tokyo, I'm less interested in photographing famous landmarks than discovering what gives a place its character. Sometimes that's found in the interaction of light and architecture, sometimes in the rhythm of everyday life, and sometimes in the subtle traces people leave behind.

Travel has given me a deep appreciation for the cultures, communities and histories that shape the places we experience. I believe every destination deserves to be approached with curiosity and respect, and I hope that comes through in the photographs I create.

Rather than simply documenting a location, I'm looking for images that capture something distinctive about being there. Photographs that invite you to pause, look a little longer and perhaps notice something you hadn't seen before.
